Siege of Jericho (UK) History
Ark of the Covenant-The Siege of Jericho
The Siege of Jericho prayer crusade history article…
The siege of jericho is primarily a prayer crusade conducted under the auspices of Newman’s Birmingham Oratory Fathers
In the following video, Stephanie interviews Sister about the history and birth of this remarkable pro life prayer crusade in Birmingham (UK)..
This Site (started on the Feast of St Gerard, patron saint of mothers) is dedicated to the pro life abortion mission of praying for an end to abortion.
The Siege of Jericho prayer campaign, takes place annually over seven days of prayer and processions around the local abortion clinic in Birmingham UK.
It is modelled on the Old Testament Siege of Jericho and as such, we pray that the walls of abortion in our time will come tumbling down in the UK and throughout the world.
The Siege also intercedes before God for the reinstatement of the dignity of the priesthood in the eyes of the faithful, as was the case in the Biblical Siege of Jericho.
Prayer Crusade Schedule
On the first six days of the Siege (Monday-Saturday) Mass is held in the Oratory Church (Edgbaston, Birmingham UK) followed by a Rosary prayer procession with the Blessed Sacrament (the Ark of the Covenant of the New Testament) carried unseen once round the local abortion centre block.
On the seventh day (Sunday), accompanied by the ringing of bells, we process round with the Blessed Sacrament (openly displayed if the local Bishop permits) seven times and finish with the Final Blessing of the area by a Priest.
